His name was Havok — a Siberian Husky with a personality too big for any leash or park to contain. He was a constant companion, a four-legged therapist, and a never-ending source of the kind of love that makes the world feel a little less heavy. His spirit lit up every room and every park he ever set paw in.

Lovable, personable, and friendly to a fault, Havok didn’t just make friends — he made people feel like they belonged. Whether it was a fellow pup, a curious stranger, or a neighborhood squirrel he absolutely should have ignored, Havok welcomed everyone with an open heart and a wagging tail.

He passed away at just 8 years old— far too soon. In the grief of his absence, something unexpected took root: a vision. A place where dogs could run free and humans could exhale. A space where belonging wasn’t just a feeling — it was the whole point. Havok may be gone, but his legacy? That’s just getting started.

Ari is a non-binary veteran who served 14 years in the U.S. Navy. Driven by a deep love for dogs, community, spaces where everyone is truly welcome, they set out to build the kind of space they always wished existed— a community-centered gathering place where connection starts with dogs and extends to everyone. Havok’s is a reflection of everything Ari believes in: inclusivity, joy, and the idea that the best communities are built one wagging tail at a time.
